Sermon Title : “Hope in Temptation – Part 1” (Matthew 4:1-11)
Pastor: Brian Moore
Going deeper into Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness, Matthew’s Gospel helps us see specific temptations in greater detail. In this first temptation, we see that temptation is not simply about right and wrong actions, but about breaking communion with God and turning inward toward self-reliance. By examining Christ’s steadfastness, we are reminded that our hope in temptation lies not in our own strength but in God’s sustaining grace. Jesus, the true Bread of Life, provides all we need to endure and remain anchored in our identity as sons and daughters of the Father.
